Flat Resistors

Flat resistors extremely adjustable to the required space, with a low noise and induction design. Available in various lengths and widths, with various connection and assembly possibilities.

Planar resistors are instruments used to exchange heat by means of conduction or radiation. They are usually adapted in installations that require thermal transmission between bodies.

For this reason, they are a fundamental base element for, mainly, presses, plates, heaters, thermoforming installations, sealing tools and for heating tanks and ventilation.

Unlike other types, flat resistors are divided into rigid and flexible. The former are thicker and more powerful, characteristics that make it the ideal option for working at very high temperatures.

For their part, the latter are used in weak loads or in devices that need to maintain a constant temperature for a long time.

At Nugar Resistor Technology we are manufacturers of flat resistors, using inorganic materials that provide silent operation so that their operation does not generate any problems.

Our flat resistors

The flat electrical resistors that we manufacture are made of wirewound aluminium, a characteristic that makes them excellent devices to be used in harsh environments with high thermal resistance.

In addition, the inorganic materials and state-of-the-art technology that we use make them perfect instruments to be used in presses, plates, heaters, thermoforming facilities and sealing tools, among others.

It should be noted that, if mounted directly on the heat sink, flat electrical resistors offer greater dissipation.

Finally, the device offers the possibility of integrating a thermal protector and thus having double protection.

Specifications of our flat electrical resistors

  • Degree of protection IP40, IP20, IP55
  • Powers: 50W < 1.2 kW
  • Resistance tolerance: ±10%

Keep in mind that our flat electrical resistors are conceived and designed for frequency and braking variators.

Tips for using flat resistors

Our flat electrical resistances are used to heat flat surfaces in molds. At the time of use, the most important thing is a good fit in all its area.

It is also key to place the thermal insulation on one of the faces and pay attention to the temperature control system.

Finally, for the power to be adequate, the following aspects must be taken into account:

  • Materials (aluminum, stainless steel, etc.).
  • Plate dimensions.
  • Initial temperature.
  • Supply voltage.
